A gang member recues his nephew from his alcoholic sister and boyfriend taking him into his house while his sisters recovers. But as time basses by he has a hard time letting go. While raising money for his nephew to participate at a local spelling bee he learns to become a better person changing his own living habits for a better future. All in all while his nephew's father places a bounty on his head.
